had this happen last month, gave them my ID only to find my account was still temporarily suspended because I uploaded a banner image that had the words "thought criminal" on a sign in the image and that violated the "no criminal behavior" part of ToS

As someone who is a power user of LinkedIn (for work), there has been an increase of fake profiles to engage in corporate espionage. I report like 5-10 accounts a day.

I appreciate them now asking users to verify themselves.

It did this to me once too. It also allowed me to have a mispelling for my last name I cannot remember how I got it sorted yet took a few days.
