It's a huge difference. As implemented on Jam, it's easy to imagine how tipping will pivot from vouchers to direct value transfers. Hot take: Buying @jam casts is a better way to reward creators than offchain degen tips. (change my mind lol)

going to a separate app to reward the author by buying a post isn't that convenient though

no one outside of jam app will also see it's been purchased, or if I'm the author - will never know if someone bought it?

i agree the ux isn't optimal, tho i do appreciate that the use case has a home and is one that is embedded in the engagement style it was born from. i could see a future where use cases such as these are proven out and integrated into major client(s).
