But if you or whoever else distributes a token - it’ll be centralized already no? 

The only way is to enable lightning transfers here instead of warps, like on nostr

But nostr I think is failing exactly because of the ethos of btc community

Agree it's healthy, but the other piece is you having a problem with other people promoting it.

But degen is not a core feature of FC protocol, but you can't educate everyone I guess and make everyone say what it actually is.

Sure, anybody is free to launch a memecoin here. I think it’s also healthy for users to criticize and question it when it starts getting shilled or misrepresented by bagholders. I’m seeing it promoted as a core feature of FC protocol and a benefit to network health; to me it seems more insidious and parasitic.
