I used zamzar.com to convert a 100-page .pdf to individual .svg files - works really well if you ever need something like that (paid service though)

no I didn't, checking it out now thanks! when i was writing this, I actually looked into specialised book-writing software (stuff like Scrivener if you're curious), might be useful for some in trad publishing but way too convoluted I'm not 100% sold on the whole "Once" thing, but from what I'm seeing it looks like what I'd use if I ever wrote another book thanks for the pointer :)
