Leftists should have a nuanced view of regulation, and Marxism has always been a tradition extremely skeptical of the state

I remember years ago seeing a leftist I really respect, Zephyr Teachout, talk about regulation in a way I hadn’t considered and it changed the way I think about it.

It's pretty simple for me: 1 Regulation that: Helps deconcentrate wealth, empowers workers, limits the power of capital, fosters democracy at work, promotes transparency in institutions, and creates powerful safety nets -> IMPLEMENT 2 Regulation that: Violates the privacy of citizens, empowers employers, tries to control citizens' lives and choices, tries to protect individual safety in all cases even if it doesn't harm others, promotes monopolies, and empowers national security -> ABOLISH BWT I don't believe in national security I think it's used to abuse, and it grants too much power, it should not exist as a concept, everything should have a way to prove accountability, no accountability is just a disguised form of tyranny.
