Unfortunately the facts here are incorrect I see ppl make this mistake so often about orderbooks vs AMMs. The reason we see AMMs onchain and CLOBs offchain is not because of throughput, it’s because of onchain tx fees.

Honestly, this is something I did not expect to happen this fast. In 2 weeks, we got ~12% of the ETH-USDC volume on Ethereum while the pools were capped and we are still onboarding more traders.

Another thing to consider is that not all apps have the same CR needs It might be perfectly fine for social app to have lower CR assurances than finance app It’s not that the Ethereum community overestimates what one L2 can do, it’s that they understand what a variety of L2s

To me the value came from fees being paid ito eth holders - regardless in what form. However, there is still a large “ETH is money“ fraction and that just becomes more and more implausible if ETH is NOT EVEN used to pay for gas.
