An ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund) is an investment fund whose shares can be bought and sold on an exchange, just like regular company stocks. ETFs allow investors to put their money into a collection of various assets, such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or BTC, all at once. For example, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) contains shares of the 500 largest companies in the USA. By purchasing a share of this ETF, you are effectively investing in all these companies at once. The value of an ETF changes proportionally to the value changes of its assets. 📌 The adoption of a Bitcoin ETF is an important step for integrating cryptocurrencies into the traditional financial system.
