I am a first time founder, so I could be way off. But it seems like there's a pattern among successful founders that started with doing something notably different than the market norms of whatever sector they started in Weirdly doesn't seem to be much of that in crypto. A lot of copy/paste, but might be VC's fault

I see that too in crypto. If you’re not zigging when people are zagging are you even innovating? The best new products are intentionally subversive to the status quo. They demand to be different.
