Definitely a great weekend… spent a little time driving around the area, finding some spots and checking out the local wildlife. Look forward to getting back up there again! 🤙🏼🍁🎩

Yeah, we stumbled into a few places… I had asked around, but it seems @kbphoto is usually hiking/paddleboarding/camping, and @walasavagephoto didn’t have other spots to recommend, but living in NYC, I miss driving, so we cruised around and found a few spots to revisit with more time, earlier in the day, etc.

Yeah man, down there you don't get that same exploration vibe that driving gives unless maybe you hit up the Catskill area but that's still not as vast as the ADK region. Def hit me up next time - I've been building up a list in AllTrails for locations to check out (that aren't crazy af to get to) and I make it a goal to find a food/drink spot in each place I visit lol. We have a couple go-to's in LG, LP.

We want to do dinner at our hotel in Wilmington next trip up there, whether next spring or next fall… absolute gem of a spot. Cadence Lodge, and better prices than Lake Placid, but only 15-20 minutes away.

Ohh that looks awesome - yeah Whiteface isn't far. I think that would work well for me when I go w/o the fam for photos. My wife and daughter like going around LP so being in town for that is key.

Yeah, definitely harder if you are leaving them without a car while you shoot, and they want to explore the area… my wife took one look at downtown Lake Placid and decided she never wants to stay there. Too many people. (She grew up in Queens!)
