I’m pretty bad at working on things that are uninteresting for a long period of time (still not sure if this is good or bad). It sounds obvious in theory but I find it’s actually not at all for most people

I'd like to meet these people that can get motivated to do the uninteresting things for long stretch. Always something I've struggled with.

I guess I can see that. I had to leave being an actuary because it was wayyy to uninteresting for me, but there were lifers in similar (more senior) roles at the companies, so they were able to gut it out

I’d say most people who in investment banking/consulting 🙃

Some definitely like it, but it seems many (most ?) do not and just stay for the money
