Strickland vs DDP is the right fight to make but I wish Volk took another month off… better to be conservative after a KO like that.

I'm surprised they're doing volk-topuria before O'Malley-chito, woulda thought that would make more sense to do first since both been off longer and volk could use the recovery after the KO

Yeah great point.  It makes me think that Volk was pushing to get back in as soon as possible.  I thought Adesanya had a quick return after KO’d, so I wonder if this is a culture of the camp.

yeah plus with volk saying he sort of rushed into the islam fight last minute because he gets anxious not being in camp (which is great he's hungry, but maybe not the best after a head kick KO)

It's too bad izzy couldn't convince volk to join him on vacation haha

Side note: the storyline of izzy coming back for that DDP fight if dricus beats strickland will be pretty fun

Yeah that's a gamble that could take years off your career if it's not managed properly. There is absolutely a cliff and fighters that go over it rarely make a resurgence. The CKB coaching staff all seem very down to earth but I hope they do a good job managing their fighters longevity and health as much as possible.
