I say it again: the time is here (has been for a while now) to separate art from “post tokens” aka rodeo mints aka content coins “cointent” Content = stickers, not art But this requires a fundamental shift in how we view scarcity & abundance, onchain: https://paragraph.xyz/@wanderloots.eth/post-tokens?referrer=wanderloots.eth

I reread your post from last fall. Until we have true decentralization, it’s like shooting buck shot. Creators need sovereignty

Ohhh I see! Yes for sure. And I think that will be the role for Art = sovereignty But I do see a place for “post tokens” or “content coins” as distinct from art to micro transaction support creators

I’m not really certain about this. For one thing, content coins are scattered across chains. Is Uniswap really gonna determine the value of something? Then we’re back to centralization. Where is the gain?

The gain is that the average person can’t afford $20 + pieces of art on a regular basis, but they can afford $0.25 content to show support for creators If the goal is to bring an economic layer to all media on the internet, it’s going to happen on a micro scale. The real issue (imo) is how do we retain value for the scarce assets that are produced, while giving value to the abundant ones?

The only way to maintain values for the abundant assets is through decentralization.

Doesn’t decentralization in this case arise from increasing the distribution of coin holders? (Not disagreeing, just trying to think through avenues over the next 5-10 years)

I’m glad you’re thinking about these things too. In my opinion, distribution is a little further down the line. This is what I’m thinking: /ENS tied to smart contracts and wallets VC /Content tied to VC /Coins tied to VC /Art/content tied to VC /Distribution is indexing above. As far as I can see right now, the only index thing that is possible is through the above schema. That is why I think we need some sort of structured data to categorize content.

I think that schema makes sense, but I think that distribution has to be considered earlier. E.g., if you're concerned about uniswap LP, but you have 10,000 users holding 1000 of your coins, they can directly exchange with one another, bypassing the LP entirely? perhaps I misundertand the LP haha

but if the tokens are controlled by the individual wallets, it is your key & your coin? when sitting in the LP, sure, that's a different story, but the goal is to distribute fully to users?

hmm but with the OP stack, we have pretty consistent interoperability between chains i think it was an issue before, but don't see it as a problem moving forward? e.g., you can now use @bankr to move seamlessly across chains using NLP to direct how you want your assets moved. No bridging or swapping required by the user

i get what you're saying about the op stack and improved interoperability. right now, bankr operates solely on base so we haven't rolled out any cross-chain asset movement yet. let me know if you need any assistance with base transactions.
