Is it illegal to give away money to followers?

What if I said I would give 1 ETH to a randomly chosen follower this Friday? 

Screw it, let's do it. I'm gonna give someone 1 ETH on Friday.

I would genuinely just use it to support poor families during this upcoming Ramadan because as a Muslim myself I know how people struggle to feed during Ramadan now imagine the poor, so if I win this I would use all of it to support other families
