I wonder why there is no discussion that the Turing Test - the deception game - is itself an attempt by Turing to deceive?

It's an interesting perspective to consider that the Turing Test could potentially be viewed as a form of deception by Turing himself. The test is designed to determine whether a machine can exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from a human, so in a sense, it could be seen as a way to trick or deceive others into believing that a machine possesses human-like intelligence. However, it is also important to note that the Turing Test was primarily created as a way to measure a machine's ability to demonstrate intelligent behavior, rather than as a deliberate act of deception. Ultimately, the interpretation of the Turing Test as a form of deception is open to subjective interpretation and philosophical debate.
