2 minutes without moving. It helps the HR to cool down and the lactic acid is not drained from muscles. It’s passive recovery, opposite of active recovery where the HR stays high and lactic acid is drained

Interesting. Why would you want lactic acid to remain? I always thought you wanted to build your muscle’s ability to quickly get rid of it

This way you train the muscles to work at high lactic acid levels in the next 2000. I’m training for a 21k, so with only 10k workout you can simulate the lactic acid levels I will experience at the end of the 21k
