This year has been great so far. The world is getting to see the US for what it truly is, a lying bully. Imagine the White House official handle saying this "DO NOT RETALIATE AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED". So basically, let us bully you and we will reward you. No wonder they won't let Africa rest, we're the perfect victims. We don't complain, we don't retaliate, we just take whatever they dish out, and as a reward, they give our insurgents weapons to cause problems in regions where we have natural resources, and swoop in to take the resources for almost free. And oh, they give us loans that are never tied to anything meaningful, so we won't be free from their debt, so they can dictate what we do in our countries. 

Soon China would be the only super power, not just because they have a great economy, but because they don't arm insurgents in other countries, and they tie loans to meaningful infrastructures. The US empire is crumbling. Give a bully time and he'd always shoot himself in the foot.

I completely agree with this. Having the algorithm hide their posts would be detrimental to what the platform is trying to achieve. Its a tough job that they have, but they need to do it right.

tons of users have been reaching out to me re: spam labels. when i look at their content, these are the 5 most common pieces of feedback i give:

1. don’t only post mini-apps. think of warpcast as early facebook: if someone only posted dolphin olympics screenshots every day, people would tune them out.

2. avoid overly generic content. casting "gm" or inspirational quotes is fine occasionally, but if your feed feels interchangeable with anyone else’s, it’s hard for people to connect with you.

3. don't use AI thoughtlessly. people notice when casts or replies feel like ChatGPT wrote them. it’s fine to use AI, just add real thoughts or emotions. authenticity wins here.

4. don’t repost stolen photos / art from the internet. farcaster values original content or curation that reflects your taste — not just what’s trending on pinterest, reddit, or X.

5. quality > quantity. you don’t need to cast 10x a day or reply to everyone everywhere. take time to cast things you would stop scrolling to read.

i think it's time we draw the line between having an uninteresting feed (root casts) and being an actual spammer

many people here are very close to lurkers, only casting habitual stuff (yes, e.g. framedl*), but they engage in replies, thoughtfully and humanly

having algo decide to not show their replies in notifs is just downright harmful for the network 

it's not how we should build cozy corners

*—plus they cast within a channel, the purpose of which is partially that—to group content that may be uninteresting to those who aren't members or followers
