I’ve learned a lot about myself and my psychology these last few months. Most of the time the hard way. Which makes me wonder if the hard way is the only way to learn something

Or perhaps put differently - you have to pay a cost to learn something. Give up some resource of yours, time attention money energy etc. A lesson you learn without giving up anything, is probably not something you’ve actually learned
