Also as a reminder for ppl that didn't notice, WalletConnectv2 is centralized and there isn't a way to self host.

Completely agree. Dependency on walletconnect as the only mobile wallet connection library is a huge risk to this entire space.

They're centralized, they've had many missteps with the v2 migration, little care for devs, and worst, it's extremely unreliable. Walletconnect issues are by far the most reported by users.

Plus integrating with them kinda sucks.

We def need an alternative.
