Does anyone here run a full node that isn't also a staking validator? Just looking to see if this is a thing people do at all, as opposed to relying on third-party trusted full nodes over RPC.

Context: This thread in which people in the replies seem to be forgetting that non-staking full nodes are a thing and may be important. https://x.com/preston_vanloon/status/1826243822918992146

I believe Preston is referring to L1 staking nodes. I assume this means non-archival nodes that need to compute and validate every transaction, to keep track of L1 state (at least pre-Verkle), to produce blocks, to sign head attestations, to perform sync commitee duties, and to transmit and distribute blobs.
