Seeing a lot of hand-wringing over the timeline for an ETH ETF approval in the USA. It’s getting too much attention and I think people hoping for a catalyst for ETH going parabolic will be disappointed.

ETH is a much smaller market in futures. Much less ETH is traded in markets with adequate surveillance. And the market cap is 1/3rd of bitcoin. You don’t even need to speculate on demand—just look at markets in Canada, Brazil, and Europe. There is a fraction of the demand for ethereum ETFs and ETPs.

That’s ok. Bitcoin is a great standard bearer to get people comfortable with a new asset class. Ethereum ETFs are inevitable, but they may not be imminent. Maybe they shouldn’t be—it would be better for them to launch into pent up demand and when they have staking income figured out.
