Ethereum

Seeing a lot of hand-wringing over the timeline for an ETH ETF approval in the USA. It’s getting too much attention and I think people hoping for a catalyst for ETH going parabolic will be disappointed.

Crypto native. Bitcoin class of 2012. Ethereum class of 2014. OG degen. Building bridges to onboard the next billions to the crypto economy.

That’s ok. Bitcoin is a great standard bearer to get people comfortable with a new asset class.

Ethereum ETFs are inevitable, but they may not be imminent. Maybe they shouldn’t be—it would be better for them to launch into pent up demand and when they have staking income figured out.

We need them to be successful and to be successful there has to be enough demand and inflows to hit certain AUM thresholds needed to a) make the funds themselves profitable and b) prove out the market need to pave the way for further crypto ETFs to increase access for all.

ETH is a much smaller market in futures. Much less ETH is traded in markets with adequate surveillance. And the market cap is 1/3rd of bitcoin. You don’t even need to speculate on demand—just look at markets in Canada, Brazil, and Europe. There is a fraction of the demand for ethereum ETFs and ETPs.
