DW is short for Daos.World

i've been following @daosdotworld since you launched on Base in late 2024. Could you share what inspired you to build a DAO launchpad specifically? How is DW different from other launchpads? (I saw there's a similar question from a community member.) @azflin 

My original inspiration was that I thought a DAO wrapped with a speculative token is an incredible powerful and viral idea. Many attempts at DAOs in the past have been boring failures. This cycle we had the memecoin frenzy - everything is tokenized. So having a DAO, with a treasury that can invest in whatever cool things it wants, is cool, but then slapping a speculative token on top of it is even more awesome.

We are different from different launchpads because:

1. We try to be more creative with tokenomics. On Base, we had stake DAO token for $DWL. DWL was a raffle token that you could burn to win whitelist for other projects. I love this kind of onchain experimentation and playing around with tokens. We used to have a lot more of this in 2021 / defi summer. The defi food farms is what inspired me to make these DWL farms to begin with.

I am thinking of new creative ways in the future for DAO tokenomics as well. Individual DAOs are doing this, themselves such as $RWOK implementing stake NFT -> earn $RWO...

If you are up big, take profit. I've seen too many people hold and round trip and get rekt. I made the same mistake.

To reduce risk, study the team, study their social media presence. Study how they communicate. There are a lot of little cues you can use to pick up on.
