I've managed without it, but seems like it's worth it for the convenience or if you want to practice constructive doomscrolling.

I tried it out briefly when they first launched but never paid for it and ended up kinda getting turned off a bit.

I think it's a good tool to spot the reporting bias, but at the end of the day, it's just a news aggregator with some added features.

On the other hand, the premium plan costs $30 a year. If the alternative to that is Google News, then it's probably money well spent.

Yea that was essentially what it seemed like to me. I try to avoid using Google products whenever possible but sometimes I'll end up using their aggregator. Wish someone else built a good free one.
