On onchain trending notifications in Warpcast 1. You can turn them off 2. The algo is based on onchain activity in the social graph; we are iterating on the algo 3. There are plenty of legitimate projects that are experimenting with coins 4. What is “legitimate” is relative to each person 5. Plenty of people like the notifications, some people don’t. That’s why you can turn it off. 6. Fundamentally, you either believe people are capable of making decisions with information or they can’t.

“6. Fundamentally, you either believe people are capable of making decisions with information or they can’t.” Obviously, people can make decisions, but behavioral economics clearly shows that influences like that can push them into making bad decisions. The ethics of it apart, the inevitable “How I Got Rugged on Warpcast” bad publicity will not be helpful growthwise. Making the notifications opt-in rather than opt-out solves half the problem.
