Well, it shares a border with Kaliningrad and has a Russian minority (which, since 1939, always gets “oppressed” whenever a justification for invasion is necessary), so it’s one of the most likely targets. But this story seems like a longer game; it lacks the immediacy of a direct threat, as opposed to the narratives featuring, for example, Nazis and CIA biolabs in Ukraine.
