Blessed are friends like that. Such friendships are rare and valuable, often take years to foster. What's the source?

most people don't realize what they can do and achieve until they are made aware of that; someone who can lend that voice and with whom you can discuss at length with a free mind is rare to find

I don't agree with that at all, people have to be free to decide what they want even if that doesn't unleash their full potential. In my opinion, perhaps a friend could/should present points of view, pros and cons, but never force or convince.
