This is how most people across Romania still cook..
My grandparents do have normal oven and stove, but some things just come better this way.

Im sorry for everyone who will never taste how good actual food is, compared to the processed stuff we’re used to..

The ingredients are better, the ways of cooking them are better, but the real difference is made by the love thats put in the food

I live in a place with lots of 100+yo stoves around, and i don't accept modern bakery. well it doesn't give me that taste from my childhood, feels like you've being fooled

This in particular (Karjalan kalittoa or "shipainiekat") are ten times more delicious if they are from a russian classic stove (second picture)
