For many years before my present job, I worked remotely, and thus the only time I saw coworkers was during online meetings, which I always find stressful. Now I work in an office and have a cohort of fellow employees whom I socialize with. I don’t really care if it makes us more productive at work because we socialize, but it is a valuable social outlet.

Yes sir I totally agree, I work in an advertising agency, and I head a group of young creative guys "my team" we constantly relate because that how we get the deliverables out Socializing especially at work is great when you work with good people.

I work in a very large organization, so I can pick and choose whom I socialize with. I like that I don’t have to be everyone’s friend.

Of cause we can't socialize with all the staff of an organization especially when it's a big one... but there would always be some overtime that are constant based on work and other relationships that has spawned from it.
