with zkTLS type use cases the root of trust is a web2 db. so, i think it is great from small value exchange. but you still need blockchains for things that need very high security guarantees

Yeah the way I see it is: 1. A way to verify that a payment occurred (the ZK proof of the Venmo transaction) 2. A mechanism to release funds to the recipient once verification occurs 3. Some form of escrow or TEE. Doesnโt even need to be onchain at that point. Maybe if the goal is composability.
