how long did it take from thinking about quitting the job vs actually quitting?

I was thinking about quitting for 1-2 years before actually quitting. I was getting a bit burnt out by work, and was always very interested in running my own company. By the time I quit this burnout was compounding to a large degree, and I became ready to take the risk
