“The car ahead has started moving”, a synthetic voice reminded my distracted ride-hailing driver this morning after a traffic light turned green. “Turn right in 50 meters”, added the voice with a tone of boundless equanimity, like the ideal parent we can only aspire to be. 2/

I can't wait either. Being able to read a book or take a nap why driving me to a place where there's no public transportation. Safely, with the insurance that I won't be hit by a drunk driver or a business man typing on his phone. But still people want to keep controlling things... They want to control how they die. I just want to live.
