DVT is not an authentic solution. 32 Ethereum is unaffordable for almost 99% of users. It is high time that we make some necessary changes so that solo staking from home becomes the norm, and there is no minimum requirement for it. Otherwise, we will fail to demonstrate our commitment towards censorship resistance.

I don’t think the intent was ever to make solo staking completely accessible — there are LSTs for <32 ETH staking. The lack of a minimum requirement would make the validator set unmanageable for P2P. It’s already challenging enough bandwidth/hardware to get ~1M validators sign attestations every 12 seconds

If you lowered the balance and allowed many more validators, you’d get the perverse effect of requiring so much more bandwidth & hardware that those would become the filter, as the associated cost would make it unaffordable for smaller stakers anyway (leading to centralization) 32 ETH was meant to be a sweet spot

The biggest winners in solo staking have been corporations, Telcom have been the biggest winners. I understand the point. At this point I agree. LSTs are the way to go.
