I think it’s biggest advantage is that it can’t do anything other than describe a value, it’s like an atomic clock for value networks.

i'm not trying to roast you specifically, but this is exactly what i see a lot of in the remaining bitcoin community

marketing terms, undermined quite fundamentally by the security-budget issue

How quickly the BTC community pivoted from denial/anger to acceptance on ordinals makes me think that they’ll eventually address the security budget issue, whether through Tim Beiko’s solution or long-tail emissions, sooner rather than later. It’s not insurmountable even though it will change the core narrative.
