it's incredible-& scary-that Tron now rivals Ethereum on usage. a lot of that is organic, consumer use from people using stablecoins to escape inflation. easy to take it for granted here in the US, but everywhere else, people love USD

The “transactional money” use case blows every other out of the water volume-wise. Billions of humans either unbanked or subject to unreliable, hyperinflationary fiat. They need simple & immediate solutions for day to day tx and stUSDT/USDT “just works”. But does Ethereum even try to compete with this use case?

Historically, no, and that was the correct choice: no point trying to take on Venmo, MPesa etc when each transaction costs $5. Once we get to 1 cent, 1 second transactions, I think Ethereum is ready.
