As expected, this was a huge mistake and even with airdrops, my portfolio in ETH isn't going up. 💀🪦 Will there ever be a L2 season or am I just bag holding this forever to dump for pennies on the dollar next bear?

Only my personal opinion, and no offense, but, this beta chasing mental illness is the same kind of retardio like aping into SOL because ETH is getting an ETF now. People play 4D chess and the opponent is yourself. Investments should be made based on merits of the asset being invested in. Investments should not be made by belief of sophisticated psychological hypotheses. Those L2 tokens should either not exist, not trade, or not be invested in unless there is a value accrual mechanism. L2s skills frankly simply use ETH as gas token and do tokenless governance. But admittedly, this is a fever dream and the industry is just not here yet. Just look at the ARB leakage happening in their governance processes. Money is liquidated and given to people for reasons unknown to mankind. It's energy leaking from the system left, right and center. Study front loading FDVs. Those imbalances in realized liquidity are dangerous toxic waste for retail.

Blunt but fair. I tend to agree. We seem to learn that lesson every cycle of not chasing the beta or the alternate asset

I think one or maybe two L2 tokens might do well (same as 2 L1s did well last cycle) but those are outliers and hard to predict. It’s pure speculation in the end (plus some tax thingy for me, since holding airdrops for 12 months = tax free).
