One hill I will die on: bi-weekly should only ever mean twice a week. Semi-weekly (or fortnightly) is for once every two weeks.

For sure, semi-weekly would seem weird when you can just say monthly

i don’t use semi-weekly in my vocabulary.

i only agree with fortnightly, i’ve always been forced to agree with the meaning bi weekly by my dictionary and teachers, it doesn’t sound right in my head but i’ve learnt to live with it.
