If you were to buy a 15'' MacBook for low-computation work, would you choose Air or Pro? Want to buy something that's easy to carry in the backpack and would serve 5+ yrs

How low is low? For me the Air was always a glorified iPad-cum-keyboard, i.e. I would use it only for non-computational tasks. Five+ years might be ambitious if running your computations is borderline for the laptop’s capacity at the onset

I sometimes use Photoshop and code, but nothing serious. My 2015 MacBook Pro can handle that, though it started being too slow lately
