And yet, so were Fox Mulder & Charles Fort, who “wanted to believe” in the supernatural & never gave up the search.  My formative reads have not only included fiction writers such as Poe, Maupassant, Barjavel, Lovecraft; but also “The Morning of the Magicians” which was a genre-defining supernatural exploration

It’s definitely something that I picked up from your bio when I first joined FC, and which piqued my curiosity.

What came first, the interest in neuroscience and the deterministic study of the brain, or the interest in chaplaincy and spirituality? Did one lead to the other?

Apparently my neuroscience / Buddhist chaplain / stand up comedian thing is a bit contradicting but I find them one and the same, the search and expression of cosmic truths!
