Started indoor rowing daily ~1 month ago. Already able to extend my sessions’ duration by 2x. Love it for how low impact and yet holistic of a workout it is. Any rowing maxis here with some tips or experience? Erg Concept2 if that matters

Any tips on how to endure longer row sessions? I sometimes warmup rowing for a couple of minutes and it starts to feel rather uncomfortable.

Also not a big fan of the leg straps loosening quite easily on most machines I’ve tried.

So I've just watched some Dark Horse tutorials as recommended by @puls, and they explain that the straps loosening are symptomatic of the rower wrongly pulling on those straps using their feet during the recovery. Here's the video at the relevant timestamp. https://youtu.be/SW0VnJAMluY?si=8wi6TKwp0w5JfBo3&t=1604

The proper recovery technique is to push the handle away from your chest immediately after the stroke, then close your hips (i.e., pivot forward so that your shoulders are ahead of your hips again), and finally bend your knees to slide the seat forward without pulling on the feet straps. That's quite counter-intuitive
