(Not that I want nor welcome government involvement in crypto, but Ethereum is permissionless after all, and if I was the US government, I would want to play a strategic role in securing the global settlement layer of the world, and favoring the onchain dominance of USD stablecoins over alternatives)

we do not want the state running validators. Well I guess technically the fed is a private institution but not really. fuck that shit IMHO.
