Also, my personal take is that Sankeys can do more harm than good. It’s really hard to get them to be readable and insightful. They tend to work for a narrow use case of few nodes with reasonably balanced data across them, or else they turn into a messy spaghetti bowl that confuses the reader.

i def see ur point, but just this week I've seen like 4-5 and really like them. I don't see them as doing more harm than good but agree that it's not best for all use cases
