Where do you stand on solipsism? I see it as foundational to virtually everything else (in a first principles kind of way), and yet it is almost universally brushed aside as irrelevant, which I find oddly frustrating. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

I’m not a philosophy scholar, but it doesn’t seem foundational to everything else. No offense. Unless your view on solipsism extends to inanimate objects, what single species flora or fauna remotely exists outside community?

By foundational I mean that it’s a nontrivial question whether anything truly exists outside of my own mind, or I’m conjuring everything and calling it sensory experiences

Fair enough. However, it also feels as though a fundamental part of being “alive” is existing in relation to others. Within community. Not only that we have sensory experience that includes the unique lives of others, but we also require outside help from birth. Require being the 🔑 word here.
