I’ve been quieter than usual lately, as I was über-busy conducting airport inspections over multiple days. 13K steps per day instead of sitting in front of a laptop broke not only my casting habits, but my fitness ones, too. I’m sharing this as an excuse to say that I love airports. No, not the pitiful excuses like those found in the US or Europe. I’m talking about Asian airports, in all their chaotic neutral glory. Airports are the epitome of liminal spaces (as this picture taken today illustrates perfectly). A place between places. A rendezvous spot to connect and also part ways. A bridge between cultures, codes, and norms; only with underpriced retail, overpriced food, and an endless spectacle outside the windows for aviation geeks. Truly, what’s better than an airport?

It felt very much like The Exit 8, especially as this corridor turns right and left a few times past the visible end here

haha ive never played that game but it looks kinda creepy actually like that hallways could get scary af idk if it was but walking down long windowless hallways when the lights start to go out is not something i'd ever want to experience.
