Solana seems more focused on practicality and user experience, coming across as lively and down-to-earth, while Vitalik’s speech leaned toward technical depth and future vision (despite his attempt to be lively by singing). This also makes it understandable that the recent market prefers SOL and criticizes ETH.

Oh absolutely, if we ignore the centralization, the inflation, and the downtime, it’s a great casino chain Apples to oranges

Absolutely, in the long run, I certainly have a stronger inclination towards Etherum. just trying to grasp why SOL has captured more attention in the short term and what these individuals are focusing on.

How much attention has Solana objectively captured, though? Twitter mentions are not a good measure, given how cheap astroturfing is these days. It’s easy for KOLs with SOL bags to go on stage and claim, “we are the leading consumer chain”, but after pump.fun up and left, how much consumer activity really happens on the chain that isn’t artificial wash trades? Meanwhile on Ethereum L2s, both active wallets and transactions are consistently exceeding ATH

Agree, I hope that the next time I encounter SOL optimist, I'll have more confidence to argue back. https://unchainedcrypto.com/sol-on-course-to-flip-eth-says-multicoin-capitals-kyle-samani/

Why would active wallets and transactions on ethereum L2s not also be artificial? Seems inconsistent to apply that critique to sol but take it at face value for ethereum L2s
