It’s new to me because I’ve never interacted with creator-led channels, only with Reddit-like channels where mods are glorified janitors who are individually fungible. The channels I’ve created are like this; they don’t relate to nor depend on me at all. I’ll be interested to see how creator channels play out

One way to think about is like private discord, substack chat, or @vgr’s blog community. 

It’s similar to those except baked into a simultaneously connected but siloed UX.
