It’s depressing because first of all, this appears to be true and we are just letting it happen. I’ve stopped eating fish (and, soon after, meat) entirely some 13 years ago after seeing first-hand the destruction of marine habitats and depletion of the halieutic reserve caused by industrial fishing and trawling operations. The choice is ours, individually and collectively. We can all do our part

We can all do our part is how I view this problem. If more people stop eating fish and other animals, progress is made across many issues.
