Imagine working at McDonalds, and turning in a murderer. Then not getting the reward due to a technicality. Then getting fired for the backlash your employer faced from the news. Then losing your UHC healthcare coverage because you lost your job. Fucking Shakespearian if you ask me. The system grinds up eveyone, even those that serve it.

Is that what happened? I haven’t seen news of that employee getting fired. There are indications though that they might be receiving the bounty after all. https://www.yahoo.com/news/mcdonalds-employee-called-911-ceos-183918352.html

Na, not yet. More of a confident prediction than anything. But the thought amused me so I shared it. It’s 2024, there’s no truth anymore, reality is whatever we want it to be 😂 Joking aside, the firing will probably happen about 5 minutes after the media frenzy ends. Less bad PR that way.

I assume it would pave the way for a juicy wrongful termination lawsuit (and more unfavorable spotlight for the brand) — it’s a civic duty to report and Pennsylvania is not a right-to-work state

I’m sure a McDonalds employee has the resources to take a major corporation to court and win 😂 Side note, it is pretty useful that people are learning that these police rewards are about as real as consumer rebates are for sketchy electronics.
