Yes, that's correct. You need to get 3 injections (for example, this year, next year, and then in 3 years).  
If you want to start this year, you should get it done soon, preferably in the first days of April. Our hospital has free vaccines, but there are only a few available.  

As far as I know, this vaccine is not lifelong. You will need to repeat it, but I don't have information on the timing for the booster.

I heard they have to inject you 3 times with this vaccine? And how long does it last?
