A new discussion of the design road to the Radix wallet, going into their goals of circumventing the UX problems of legacy Ethereum wallets. @accountless.eth, I wonder what would technically prevent an AA implementation to match what Radix has achieved with their wallet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFR40oGUWYo

Hey, thanks a ton for this response/analysis @accountless.eth, and πŸ‘‹ @avaunt, thanks for weighing in too. @avaunt - are you building with Radix? (NB: I will respond more fully shortly when my head is clear 🧸)

Ah, @avaunt - answering my own question, seeing your ShardSpace product now. Will play around with it, and use this an excuse to update my Radix Wallet to whatever the latest release is. Thanks!

One final piece of info that might be of interest is the wallet roadmap. https://docs.radixdlt.com/docs/wallets-milestones

> "imo the info architecture / navigation could simplify." agreed, but to be fair I haven't got back in deeply yet to soak it all in (other than re-fizz my old wallet, and the lightest of tinkers...) So will reserve opinion until I can be more sure...

...but on first blush run-through, their deeper (and correct IMO) design insights expressed in that video have not managed to bubble up (yet) all the way to the realised UI implementation. Actual experience in hand is less sexy than earlier video walkthroughs. But this points to just how hard this problem actually is.

re "the problem is hard". It's certainly difficult to retro-fit this in to existing architectures. Benefit that Radix has is that all the lesson's learned from other networks have been taking on board and they've built the platform with native assets, account and core primitives in such a way that is perfect for crypto

Totally - those deeper structures can't be "painted over" πŸ’… with mere pixel gloss...but if those deeper structures are laid down and working, it's just design iterations from here. God speed to Radix Development Corp!! The problem them moves on to mind-share and network adoption.

Phil, would you be interested in coming on to the DeFi download to talk about WarpCast / Farcaster and your thoughts on design as per the posts in this thread? The DeFi download is a podcast hosted by the CEO of RDX Works, Piers Ridyard https://open.spotify.com/show/3stSE0dzcf0EXRKmV9baCv?si=301a90c2b31642ce

Hey @avaunt - you flatter me, but I'm afraid I would not have much to add to the DeFi conversation. I've spoken with both Matt and Piers years ago (did some preliminary playing around with APIs early on, pre them adopting Rust as the lang underpinning Scrypto)...but doubt I have much to add at this point, sounds...
