on each trade i make on avantis, y’all usually take my entry price .2-.5% higher (if it’s a long) than the current market price

if 100x leverage, directly means im down 20% right as my trade begins

why? is this the norm?

Gm @tike ! Slippage depends on the asset (and yes its normal, eg trading a low liquidity altcoin on another exchange will also have the same effect). 

However BTC on avantis (or dollar yen) has zero slippage, meaning leverage won’t amplify price impact. Highly recommend checking slippage for each asset! Cheers

gm @tike this is the case with almost every DEX, slippage is a part of transactions. 

A $100K position size on avantis leads to no more than 5bps of slippage, but of course if your collateral is only 100K /60 (at 60x leverage), that cost will be borne by your collateral. Very normal, but if you're able to point us to instances of this not happening on other DEXs, we'd be more than happy to investigate. Cheers!

i exclusively traded eth. low liquidity? nah. intolerable. had to shun & stop because 60x+ trades stopped making any sense on avantis
